By the time this is finished, I will be packing up
on my way back home for about three and a half weeks.
It feels just like yesterday the semester began, and
I began a brand new chapter of my life. Actually more
like the day before yesterday, because yesterday would
feel like the time I realized what a waste of fucking
time this place was unless you had drugs. I do nothing
no more different here than home, only here I get a
mad fast internet connection, and there are assholes
bangin on the walls. I still play video games, I'm still
on the computer, and I'm still extremely anti-social.
But I can always blame society for that right? I thought
about starting this the day before I went home, and
lo and behold, It's being done! I don't know how much
I can put up without the help of digipics, that of which
are very limited, so I'll try to get as much as I can
before I leave. But for now, enjoy my pointless experiences.
Are we a family?
The first thing we heard our Residence Life people
say is that we are a family we have to get to know each
other all that cal. You know I bought it for the first
day or two, but you get to see this place for what it
really is. Unless you suck ass to the RA's then you
will get bitched out for having your music too loud
or having your door open. Still I give them credit for
trying to keep up the facade. Example right here children.
Oh look how pretty it is. No really I give em credit
for lugging a tree up to the third floor and decorating
it. It looked nice and everything, but let's step back
into reality for a little bit. This took about 4 or
5 people to do this, including the two RA's on this
floor. I'm not sure if anyone else really cared bout
its sight, cause honestly, I didn't. Here's what this
place is all about:
I give myself credit for doing this. Do you
have any idea how uncomfortable I felt taking these
pictures? What if I was caught. Anyway I digress. I
don't know about you, but if the best way to reach the
students is while they're shaving, or taking a shit,
then I'm not sure how close our bonds really are. I
reiterate, while taking a shit:
Every morning this semester, I am forced to look at
this completely unfunny newsletter when I am dropping
my payload. I mean this thing gives John Doe a run for
it's money in the comedic kryptonite department. You
can tell the RA's wrote this, and the only thing I find
it useful for is spare toilet paper, or to slit my wrists
with papercuts after reading it by accident.
In closing, college life on the weekends is overrated
unless you have a connection to drugs, or someone with
a car. The few friends I have here get me through the
week, and everyday surprises are pleasant when they
are in my favor. But the Residence Life cause is a lost
cause, because not once have they compelled me to stay
here for a weekend, and when I did, it was the most
boring experience of my life after I came to do what
I wanted.--
After
consideration and thought, this section has come to
be. It will be limited of course because of the fact
that I won't be here for a few weeks, but I do have
plans for more articles.
